Serpent & Electronica
Plasma is a unique duo: a fusionary dialogue between the rare acoustic tones of the serpent and the rich, dizzying timbral versatility of live electronics.
The two presented works, “…textures…” and “recordare”, move between contemporary and ancient modes of writing, where improvisation and sound experimentation enter into dialogue with eighteenth-century Gregorian chant.
The quadraphonic sound invites the audience on a timeless journey: an immersive moment suspended between performance and meditation.
Duo Plasma
Plasma is a duo founded in 2021 by Christophe Morisset (composition and serpent) and Gilles Doneux (composition and electronics).
Following Recordare, recorded in January 2022 in the Basilica of Koekelberg, the duo premiered “…Textures…” in April 2025 at SMOG (Brussels).
